The success story of LUISA CERANO is closely linked to our origins. The brand belongs to the HAUBER Group, a traditional textile dynasty in southern Germany - where the textile industry has its origins. Today, the company's great expertise as a product specialist is based on this long-standing tradition.
Founded in 1870 by Ferdinand Hauber, the company is now managed by Walter Michael Leuthe and Jürgen Leuthe in the fifth generation - as a family business with a lean hierarchy and short paths for quick and clear decisions. The founding of LUISA CERANO GmbH & Co. KG in 1998 goes back to the brothers' father, Walter Leuthe, who, as the fourth generation great-grandson of the founder until spring 2021, was himself the formative head of the company for decades. KG dates back to 1998. Today, he actively supports the HAUBER companies and his sons from the Advisory Board of the group of companies.
Two brands make up the HAUBER Group today: LUISA CERANO and SPORLASTIC ORTHOPAEDICS - one of the leading and recognized innovative orthosis and support manufacturers with strong in-house research.
FASHION COUNCIL GERMANY X LUISA CERANO
The Fashion Council Germany represents the interests of fashion designed in Germany. Founded in Berlin in January 2015 on the initiative of national industry experts, the Fashion Council Germany champions German fashion design as a cultural and economic asset and promotes young designers from Germany.
LUISA CERANO is fashion designed in Germany and celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2018. As part of the Hauber Group, LUISA CERANO can draw on almost 150 years of fashion experience, designed in Germany.

This is a great pity, as Germany and Baden-Württemberg in particular, where LUISA CERANO is based, can look back on a long textile tradition," says Jürgen Leuthe, Managing Director of LUISA CERANO. Our greatest success: the appreciation of our customers. Awards are also an expression of recognition that makes us very happy. Success that obliges us to give something back.
For example, we turned our passion for photography into a charity auction to mark our 10th anniversary. Sotheby's auctioned off prints by world-renowned photo artists on our behalf - for the benefit of a hospital in Burundi. Other aid was given to earthquake victims in Pakistan, tsunami victims and orphans in Africa.
